We were both feeling tired and in need of a day of rest and recuperation, especially as the next two days will be long days, across the Cheviots and into Scotland. For some reason I had anticipated Bellingham to be a small town, not a village. There are no launderettes in the vicinity so we just had to wash our smalls in the bathroom and continue to wear dirty clothes for another week! Our guest house is very pleasant and we have been able to relax. It rained heavily all day, but hopefully will be dry tomorrow.
